Hope in Death II
Brother E.C. Moore
Luk 6:44 For every tree is known by his own
fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
Luk 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth
forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart
bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the
abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
1Th 4:13 But I would not have you to be
ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no
hope.
1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and
rose again, even so them also which
sleep in Jesus will God bringwith him.
1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you
by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and
remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of
God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them
in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the
Lord.
1Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these
words.
Act 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
Act 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a
loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this,
he fell asleep.
Act 8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death.
And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at
Luk 16:19
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine
linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
Luk 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named
Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Luk 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs
which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his
sores.
Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar
died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also
died, and was buried;
Luk 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being
in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus
in his bosom.
Luk 16:24
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send
Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue;
for I am tormented in this flame.
Luk 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that
thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and
likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Luk 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you
there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you
cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would
come from thence.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great
white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven
fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great,
stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which
is the book of life: and the dead were
judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their
works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were
in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they
were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the
lake of fire. This is the second death.
Mar 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it
off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to
go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Mar 9:44 Where their worm dieth
not, and the fire is not quenched.
Mar 9:45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it
off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be
cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Mar 9:46 Where their worm dieth
not, and the fire is not quenched.
Mar 9:47 And if thine
eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the
Mar 9:48 Where their worm dieth
not, and the fire is not quenched.
Luk 16:24
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send
Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue;
for I am tormented in this flame.
Jam 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is
dead, so faith without works is dead also.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is
a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five
hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present,
but some are fallen asleep.
1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith
is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1Co 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep
in Christ are perished.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might
be made the righteousness of God in him.
1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits
of them that slept.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew
you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
Pro 14:32 The wicked is driven away in his
wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall
no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is
the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God
without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and
upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of
the glory of God;
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all
that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the
scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he
rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the
world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have
sinned:
Rom 3:12 They are all gone
out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth
good, no, not one.
Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall
no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is
the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God
without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and
upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man
is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ,
even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith
of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall
no flesh be justified.
Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying
unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead
which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the
Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and
their works do follow them.
Pro 14:32 The wicked is driven away in his
wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
Eph 1:3 Blessed be
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all
spiritual blessings in heavenly places
in Christ:
Rom 4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our
father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
Gen 22:17 That in blessing I
will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of
the heaven, and as the sand which is
upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we
have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of
regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Rom 4:2 For if Abraham were justified by works,
he hath whereof to glory; but not before
God.
Rom 4:3 For what saith
the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for
righteousness.
Rom 4:4 Now to him that worketh
is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh
not, but believeth on him that justifieth the
ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Rom 4:6 Even as David also describeth
the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth
righteousness without works,
Rom 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are
covered.
Rom 4:8 Blessed is
the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the
law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is
every one that continueth not in all things which are
written in the book of the law to do them.
Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that
