Baptism VI
Brother E. C. Moore
Act 1:3 To whom also he
shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of
them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the
Act 1:4 And, being assembled
together with them, commanded them that
they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father,
which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Act 1:5 For John truly
baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days
hence.
Act 1:6 When they therefore
were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time
restore again the kingdom to
Act 1:7 And he said unto
them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath
put in his own power.
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive
power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in
Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send
you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the
LORD:
Mal 4:6 And he shall turn
the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to
their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Luk 1:17 And he shall go
before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers
to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a
people prepared for the Lord.
Mat 11:11 Verily I say unto
you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John
the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is
greater than he.
Mat 11:12 And from the days of
John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the
violent take it by force.
Mat 11:13 For all the prophets
and the law prophesied until John.
Mat 11:14 And if ye will
receive it, this is Elias, which was for
to come.
Mat 17:9 And as they came
down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man,
until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
Mat 17:10 And his disciples
asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
Mat 17:11 And Jesus answered
and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
Mat 17:12 But I say unto you,
That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him
whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
Mat 17:13 Then the disciples
understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O
daughter of
Mat 21:1 And when they drew
nigh unto
Mat 21:2 Saying unto them, Go
into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied,
and a colt with her: loose them, and
bring them unto me.
Mat 21:3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord
hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
Mat 21:4 All this was done, that
it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
Mat 21:5 Tell ye the daughter
of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and
a colt the foal of an ass.
Mat 21:6 And the disciples
went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
Luk 24:13 And, behold, two of
them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from
Luk 24:14 And they talked
together of all these things which had happened.
Luk 24:15 And it came to pass,
that, while they communed together and
reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
Luk 24:16 But their eyes were
holden that they should not know him.
Luk 24:17 And he said unto
them, What manner of communications are these
that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
Luk 24:18 And the one of them,
whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in
Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these
days?
Luk 24:19 And he said unto
them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which
was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
Luk 24:20 And how the chief
priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have
crucified him.
Luk 24:21 But we trusted that
it had been he which should have redeemed
Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O
daughter of
Eze 36:24 For I will take you
from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you
into your own land.
Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle
clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from
all your idols, will I cleanse you.
Eze 36:26 A new heart also
will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away
the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my
spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my
judgments, and do them.
Eze 36:28 And ye shall dwell
in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will
be your God.
Joe 2:19 Yea, the LORD will
answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and
oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a
reproach among the heathen:
Joe 2:22 Be not afraid, ye
beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree
beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
Joe 2:23 Be glad then, ye
children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the
former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the
former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
Joe 2:24 And the floors shall
be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.
Joe 2:25 And I will restore
to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the
caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
Act 2:5 And there were
dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Act 2:6 Now when this was
noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that
every man heard them speak in his own language.
Act 2:7 And they were all
amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which
speak Galilaeans?
Act 2:8 And how hear we
every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
Act 2:9 Parthians, and Medes,
and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia,
in
Act 2:10 Phrygia, and
Pamphylia, in
Act 2:11 Cretes and Arabians,
we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
Act 2:16 But this is that
which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
Luk 6:43 For a good tree
bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good
fruit.
Luk 6:44 For every tree is
known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble
bush gather they grapes.
Luk 6:45 A good man out of
the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil
man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil:
for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Luk 6:46 And why call ye me,
Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luk 12:22 And he said unto his
disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye
shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
Luk 12:23 The life is more
than meat, and the body is more than
raiment.
Luk 12:24 Consider the ravens:
for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God
feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Luk 12:27 Consider the lilies
how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that
Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Luk 12:29 And seek not ye what
ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
Luk 6:46 And why call ye me,
Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew
thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth.
Luk 12:31 But rather seek ye
the
Luk 12:32 Fear not, little
flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luk 12:33 Sell that ye have,
and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the
heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
Act 2:44 And all that
believed were together, and had all things common;
Act 2:45 And sold their
possessions and goods, and parted them to all men,
as every man had need.
Act 2:46 And they, continuing
daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house,
did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto
them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for
the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is
unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Gen 12:3 And I will bless
them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be blessed.
Mat 25:31 When the Son of man
shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit
upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32 And before him shall
be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a
shepherd divideth his sheep from the
goats:
Mat 25:33 And he shall set the
sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King
say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Mat 25:35 For I was an
hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a
stranger, and ye took me in:
Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye
clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto
me.
Mat 25:37 Then shall the
righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
Mat 25:38 When saw we thee a
stranger, and took thee in? or naked,
and clothed thee?
Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee
sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Mat 25:40 And the King shall
answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye
have done it unto me.
Act 10:1 There was a certain
man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
Act 10:2 A devout man,
and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people,
and prayed to God alway.
Act 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that
God is no respecter of persons:
Act 10:35 But in every nation
he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
Act 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching
peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
Act 10:37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout
all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew
thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth.
