Baptism IX
Brother E. C. Moore
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed
of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one
that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I
declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have
received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co 15:2 By which also ye are
saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed
in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto
you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was
buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew
thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth.
1Co 2:12 Now we have
received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we
might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we
speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost
teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit
that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they
are life.
Rom 15:27 It hath pleased them
verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made
partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them
in carnal things.
2Co 5:7 (For we walk by
faith, not by sight:)
Mar 16:16 He that believeth
and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs
shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they
shall speak with new tongues;
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto
you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was
buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God.
Act 1:6 When they therefore
were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time
restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Act 1:7 And he said unto
them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath
put in his own power.
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive
power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth.
1Co 1:21 For after that in
the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the
foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require
a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1Co 14:22 Wherefore tongues
are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but
prophesying serveth not for them that
believe not, but for them which believe.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we
speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost
teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Mar 16:15 And he said unto
them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth
and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Mar 16:17 And these signs
shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they
shall speak with new tongues;
Mar 16:18 They shall take up
serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they
shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require
a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1Co 14:22 Wherefore tongues
are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but
prophesying serveth not for them that
believe not, but for them which believe.
Mat 10:2 Now the names of the
twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew
his brother; James the son of Zebedee,
and John his brother;

Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was
Thaddaeus;
Mat 10:4 Simon the Canaanite,
and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus
sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles,
and into any city of the Samaritans
enter ye not:
Mat 10:6 But go rather to the
lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 10:7 And as ye go,
preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 10:8 Heal the sick,
cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received,
freely give.
Mat 10:9 Provide neither
gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
Mat 10:10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes,
nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require
a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
Mat 15:24 But he answered and
said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Exo 4:1 And Moses answered
and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for
they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
Exo 4:2 And the LORD said
unto him, What is that in thine hand?
And he said, A rod.
Exo 4:3 And he said, Cast it
on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses
fled from before it.
Exo 4:4 And the LORD said
unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his
hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:
Exo 4:5 That they may
believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
Exo 4:6 And the LORD said
furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand
into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.
Exo 4:7 And he said, Put
thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and
plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.
Exo 4:8 And it shall come to
pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first
sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.
Exo 4:9 And it shall come to
pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy
voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land:
and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the
dry land.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require
a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
Exo 18:10 And Jethro said,
Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered
you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath
delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.
Exo 12:7 And they shall take
of the blood, and strike it on the two
side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
1Pe 1:19 But with the
precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive
power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth.
Exo 19:4 Ye have seen what I
did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare
you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
Act 2:14 But Peter, standing
up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea,
and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be
this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 2:41 Then they that
gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Act 4:4 Howbeit many of them
which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five
thousand.

Isa 8:15 And many among them
shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
Isa 8:16 Bind up the
testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
Luk 6:13 And when it was day,

named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
Luk 6:15 Matthew and Thomas,
James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon
called Zelotes,
Luk 6:16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which
also was the traitor.
Luk 6:17 And he came down
with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a
great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea
coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their
diseases;
Mat 10:1 And when he had
called unto him his twelve disciples, he
gave them power against unclean spirits,
to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.

voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Joh 17:8 For I have given
unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from

pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are
thine.

shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they
shall speak with new tongues;
