Baptism, Tongues, And The Gospel
Brother E. C. Moore
Mar 3:14 And he ordained
twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to
preach,
Mar 16:15 And he said unto them,
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth
and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus
Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his
kingdom;
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God:
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in
the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect
man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of
the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;
and then shall the end come.
Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall
see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in
the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which
be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Joh 1:31 And I knew him not:
but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing
with water.
Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh
with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also
which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.
Even so, Amen.
Heb 3:1 Wherefore, holy
brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High
Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Rev 7:4 And I heard the
number of them which were sealed: and there were
sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the
children of Israel.
Rev 7:15 Therefore are they
before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he
that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
Rev 6:9 And when he had
opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain
for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 12:11 And they overcame
him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they
loved not their lives unto the death.
Act 20:24 But none of these
things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might
finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord
Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath
once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God,
being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1Pe 3:19 By which also he
went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were
disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah,
while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by
water.
1Pe 3:21 The like figure
whereunto even baptism doth also now
save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a
good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Mar 16:15 And he said unto
them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and
is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me
not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the
cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Tit 3:4 But after that the
kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Act 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them
from darkness to light, and from the
power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and
inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Tit 3:5 Not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by
the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Tit 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Tit 3:7 That being justified
by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Act 2:1 And when the day of
Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Act 2:14 But Peter, standing
up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea,
and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be
this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 10:1 There was a certain
man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
Act 10:2 A devout man,
and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people,
and prayed to God alway.
Act 10:3 He saw in a vision
evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and
saying unto him, Cornelius.
Act 10:5 And now send men to
Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose
surname is Peter:
Act 10:6 He lodgeth with one
Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest
to do.
Act 10:10 And he became very
hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
Act 10:11 And saw heaven
opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet
knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Act 10:12 Wherein were all
manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things,
and fowls of the air.
Act 10:13 And there came a
voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
Act 10:14 But Peter said, Not
so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Act 10:16 This was done
thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman
of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy
on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my
daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Mat 15:23 But he answered her
not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for
she crieth after us.
Mat 15:24 But he answered and
said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
Mat 15:26 But he answered and
said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
1Ti 3:16 And without
controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified
in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the
world, received up into glory.
Act 10:28 And he said unto
them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep
company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I
should not call any man common or unclean.
Act 10:44 While Peter yet
spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Act 10:45 And they of the
circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter,
because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 10:46 For they heard them
speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Act 10:47 Can any man forbid
water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as
well as we?
Act 10:48 And he commanded
them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry
certain days.
1Co 14:22 Wherefore tongues
are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but
prophesying serveth not for them that
believe not, but for them which believe.
1Co 1:22 For the Jews require
a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding
certain days.

heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that
she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

baptized, and her household, she besought us,
saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house,
and abide there. And she constrained us.
Act 16:16 And it came to pass,
as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination
met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
Act 16:18 And this did she
many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command
thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same
hour.
Act 16:23 And when they had
laid many stripes upon them, they cast them
into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
Act 16:6 Now when they had
gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the
Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,
Act 16:7 After they were come
to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying,

we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and
we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and
immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
Act 16:30 And brought them
out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Act 16:31 And they said,
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being
warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the
saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of
the righteousness which is by faith.
Act 18:6 And when they
opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his
raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be
upon your own heads; I am clean: from
henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
Act 18:7 And he departed
thence, and entered into a certain man's
house, named Justus, one that worshipped
God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
Act 18:9 Then spake the Lord
to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy
peace:
Act 19:1 And it came to pass,
that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts
came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
Act 19:2 He said unto them,
Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We
have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Act 19:3 And he said unto
them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John
verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that

Jesus.

Jesus.
Act 19:6 And when Paul had
laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost
came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith
and verity.
1Ti 2:4 Who will have all
men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
