Acts 13:38
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is
preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
Acts 13:39
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could
not be justified by the law of Moses.
Acts 13:46 Then
Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God
should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge
yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
Acts 13:47
For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the
Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto
the ends of the earth.
Acts 14:1 And
it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both
together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake,
that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
Acts 14:2
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil
affected against the brethren.
Acts 14:3
Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave
testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done
by their hands.
Acts 14:4
But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and
part with the apostles.
Acts 14:5
And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews
with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,
Acts 14:6 They
were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and
unto the region that lieth round about:
Acts 14:7
And there they preached the gospel.
Acts 14:8
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in
his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
Acts 14:9 The
same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him,
and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Acts 14:10 Said
with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
Acts 14:11
And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying
in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to
us in the likeness of men.
Acts 14:12
And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius,
because he was the chief speaker.
Acts 14:13
Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and
garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
Acts 14:14
Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes,
and ran in among the people, crying out,
Acts 14:15 And
saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with
you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the
living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are
therein:
Acts 14:16
Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
Acts 14:17 Nevertheless
he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from
heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
Acts 14:18
And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not
done sacrifice unto them.
Acts 14:15
And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with
you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the
living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are
therein:
Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we
might be justified by faith.
Romans 1:16 For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
1 Corinthians 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will
bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this
world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God,
it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
1 Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock,
and unto the Greeks foolishness;
1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power
of God, and the wisdom of God.
Acts 14:11
And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying
in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to
us in the likeness of men.
Romans 1:14
I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to
the unwise.
Acts 17:16
Now while Paul waited for them at
Acts 17:17 Therefore
disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in
the market daily with them that met with him.
Acts 17:2 And
Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath
days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Acts 17:3 Opening
and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the
dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
Acts 17:17 Therefore
disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in
the market daily with them that met with him.
Acts 17:18 Then
certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks,
encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he
preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.
Acts 17:19 And
they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus,
saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest,
is?
Acts 17:20 For
thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we
would know therefore what these things mean.
Acts 17:21
(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in
nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
Acts 17:22 Then
Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of
Acts 17:23
For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this
inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him
declare I unto you.
Acts 17:24 God
that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven
and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Acts 17:25
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing
he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
Acts 17:26
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of
the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of
their habitation;
Acts 17:27 That
they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him,
though he be not far from every one of us:
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the
commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no
hope, and without God in the world:
Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by
the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that
were nigh.
Acts 17:28 For
in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets
have said, For we are also his offspring.
Acts 17:29
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the
Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Acts 17:30
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth
all men every where to repent:
Acts 17:31
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in
righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given
assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Acts 17:32
And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others
said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
Acts 17:33 So
Paul departed from among them.
Romans 1:16

Acts 14:18

And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium,
who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city,
supposing he had been dead.

city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
2 Corinthians 12:1 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions
and revelations of the Lord.

I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

which are asleep.
2 Corinthians 12:3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I
cannot tell: God knoweth;)
2 Corinthians 12:4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words,
which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
2 Corinthians 12:5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine
infirmities.
2 Corinthians 12:6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will
say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that
which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan
to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and
that we must through much tribulation enter into the

when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with
fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
Acts 14:24 And
after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came
to Pamphylia.

And when they had preached the word in Perga, they
went down into Attalia:

And thence sailed to
Acts 14:27 And
when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all
that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the
Gentiles.
Acts 14:28 And
there they abode long time with the disciples.
Acts 13:26 Men

Matthew 15:27
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their

But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying,
That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of

Acts 15:6
And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
Acts 15:7 And
when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and
brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the
Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
Acts 15:8
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness,
giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
Acts 15:9
And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Acts 15:10
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples,
which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Acts 15:11
But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be
saved, even as they.
Acts 15:12
Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul,
declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
Acts 15:13 And
after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren,
hearken unto me:
Galatians 2:1
Then fourteen years after I went up again to
Galatians 2:2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel
which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of
reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
Galatians 2:3
But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be
circumcised:
Galatians 2:4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ
Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
Galatians 2:5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth
of the gospel might continue with you.
Galatians 2:6
But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth
no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added
nothing to me:
Galatians 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the
circumcision was unto Peter;
Galatians 2:8
(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the
circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
Galatians 2:9
And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be
pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and
Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and
they unto the circumcision.
